Plugins that improve Omarchy without blowing up your system

Around here QOL means

Quality of life with opinions

  • Fix what is obviously wrong or ill-designed. Keep the fix small.
  • Start with what Omarchy already ships. Reinventing is work, not progress.
  • Stay quiet when idle (a tray widget does not need a data center).
  • Ship an uninstall button (so sad), so you can remove my BLOAT from your beloved system :) I'd rather get an issue first, tho, but the world got so busy with AI...

Why bother

Because minimalism and taste apply to your plugins as well.

A plugin should solve the thing that annoyed you, then get out of the way. There is no reason to bloat your system. Same things applied back then, when neovim was a thing and people started to "install every available plugin".

These plugins started as small fixes for my own Omarchy setup, already in one or another form on the Omarchy 3.8.X versions. When something felt obviously wrong, I change the smallest useful piece instead of rebuilding half the desktop.

Native controls, low idle cost, and an uninstall that cleans up after itself. Nothing revolutionary.
